Overview

VendorLoop (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates a platform that allows small business vendors to collect customer contact information and send SMS marketing communications. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with a VendorLoop-powered sign-up form, QR code, or text-to-join keyword, or when you use our platform as a vendor.

02

Information We Collect

When you subscribe to a vendor's list through a VendorLoop QR code, sign-up form, or by texting a keyword to our platform number, we collect:

  • Phone number (for SMS communications)
  • Zip code (optional, for proximity targeting)
  • IP address and consent timestamp (for compliance)
03

How We Use Your Information

Your contact information is used solely to send you updates, event reminders, and promotional messages from the specific vendor whose list you joined. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may use anonymized, aggregated statistics (such as overall message volume or sign-up trends) to understand and improve our platform. We never use your personal information, or any data obtained through Google APIs, to develop, train, or improve generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

04

SMS Communications

Express written consent. When you submit your phone number through a VendorLoop sign-up form or QR code, or when you text a vendor's keyword to our platform number, you give express written consent to receive recurring marketing text messages from the specific vendor whose list you joined. The message shown to you at the point of opt-in names the vendor and describes what the messages will cover (schedule, events, location updates, and promotions). Consent is not a condition of any purchase.

Message frequency & rates. Message frequency varies by vendor and by how often they send. Message and data rates may apply per your mobile carrier plan.

Opting out & help. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message — you will receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages will be sent from that vendor. To re-subscribe, text START. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@getvendorloop.com.

No sharing of mobile opt-in data. Phone numbers and opt-in data collected through VendorLoop sign-up forms, QR codes, and keyword opt-ins are used only to deliver messages from the vendor whose list you joined. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile opt-in information, phone numbers, or consent data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

05

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as you remain subscribed to a vendor's list. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at support@getvendorloop.com.

06

Security

We implement industry-standard security measures, including encrypted data transmission and secure database storage, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.

07

Google Calendar Integration

VendorLoop offers an optional Google Calendar connection for vendors. If you choose to connect it, we request read-only access to the single Google Calendar you select, and we use it for one purpose: to import that calendar's upcoming events into your VendorLoop account as your scheduled stops, so you don't have to re-enter them. We never write to, modify, or delete anything in your Google Calendar.

We store only the event details needed to power your stops and reminders (title, location, date, and time) and a token to keep the connection active. You can disconnect at any time from your Events page, which stops all syncing.

VendorLoop's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to develop, train, or improve generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

If you use our optional AI drafting features (see AI-Assisted Drafting below) to write a message for a calendar event, that event's title, location, date, and time are sent to our AI provider only to generate the draft you requested, and are never retained by that provider or used to train models. Apart from that, we do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide this feature, for security, or to comply with law.

08

AI-Assisted Drafting

VendorLoop offers optional AI-assisted features that help vendors draft SMS messages — for example, a weekly schedule heads-up or an event reminder. These features are used at a vendor's choice; we do not draft anything automatically without the vendor turning the feature on.

When a vendor uses one of these features, only the details needed to write that message — such as the business name and the event or stop's title, location, date, and time — are sent to our third-party AI provider, Anthropic (the Claude family of models), solely to generate the requested draft for that vendor. If a vendor has connected Google Calendar, an event imported from their calendar is included in this information only when, and only because, the vendor chooses to generate a draft for that event.

This information is used only to produce the message the vendor asked for. It is not retained by the AI provider after the request is completed, is never used to develop, train, or improve any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models, and is never used for advertising. We do not send subscriber phone numbers or other subscriber contact information to the AI provider.
